This new message will appear in the regular donation process and in the tipping box. Starting tomorrow, Brave Rewards will clearly indicate which publishers and creators have not yet joined Brave Rewards, so users can better control how they donate and tip.
We apologize for the errors showing unverified creators in the Brave Rewards tipping panel, and look forward to sharing an improved system with you. We have heard important feedback and are currently fixing the user interface of the browser to clarify how Brave Rewards works, so that both users and creators can continue to use it with the clear purpose for which it is designed: rewarding content creators while preserving user privacy. It is still in beta and will feature several improvements in the coming months as the program is refined and integrates the valuable community input we receive. Brave Rewards currently has a community of over 23,000 publishers, YouTube creators, and Twitch streamers. (You can find equivalent settings to disable sponsored images on iOS and Android in the browser Settings menu.Brave Rewards is a new way to fund content on the internet and to reconnect creators with their audiences. To do so, you’ll Customize the new tab page, and toggle Show sponsored images. Sponsored images in new tabs of the Brave Browser appear by default, but you can disable them (basically opt out of them) in browser Settings.At this time, Brave News ads cannot be disabled, and their frequency cannot be changed. The Brave News feature is opt in, but if you enable it, Brave News ads will be on by default.You can choose to change this from 1 to 10 times per hour, or turn them off completely. Push notification ads are designed to be shown only when the time is right, and default to display a maximum of 5 times per hour. Push notification ads are opt in, and you can opt out again at any time, either by disabling them or by turning their frequency to 0 in Brave Rewards settings.Currently, Brave Ads appear in three places: as push notifications, as sponsored cards in the Brave News feed, and as sponsored images on a new browser tab.
